Chief Technical Officer

About the role

Caravan Construction is seeking a visionary Chief Technical Officer to lead all engineering, structural design verification, and technical execution across its project portfolio. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the CTO will be part of the senior “Three Chiefs” team and will ensure seamless delivery of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical governance and advise the Managing Director on industry best practices, safety codes, and company protocols.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate Site Engineers and field teams, ensuring high performance and accountability.
• Collaborate with the Operations Officer to align engineering timelines, heavy‑equipment scheduling, and procurement activities.
• Oversee design and risk management, guaranteeing that all structural, architectural, and engineering drawings are reviewed and approved before implementation.
• Work with the Legal Officer to manage contract variations, technical compliance, and municipal regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 84 months (7 years) of experience in construction engineering or related technical leadership roles.
• Executive‑level mindset with strong accountability and the ability to translate abstract blueprints into on‑site execution.
• Proven experience supervising site engineers and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
