Childcare Space Facilitator

About the role

The Childcare Space Facilitator will support safe, inclusive spaces for children affected by the flood response project in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading. Working under the Field Coordinator, you will facilitate educational, recreational and psychosocial activities to promote children’s well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate age‑appropriate educational, recreational, life‑skills and psychosocial activities in Child‑Friendly Spaces.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive environment and promote protection and well‑being of all children attending.
• Identify children needing extra support and refer them through established pathways.
• Build positive relationships with children, caregivers, volunteers and community members to encourage participation.
• Coordinate with Field Coordinator, Psychosocial Coordinator, schools and local stakeholders for effective implementation.
• Maintain basic records of activities and attendance and provide regular updates to the Field Coordinator.

Required profile

• Minimum High School Graduate (10+2) with at least a second division or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience working with children, families or community‑based programmes.
• Strong communication skills in English and Nepali.

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
