Commis Chef – Pan Asian Cuisine

About the role

Join the culinary team at Holiday Inn Express Kathmandu Naxal as a Commis Chef specializing in Pan Asian cuisine. You will work in a dynamic kitchen environment, supporting the creation of visually appealing and flavorful dishes that enhance our guests' dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and plate Pan Asian dishes, with a focus on sushi and dim sum.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, monitoring supplies, equipment, and waste.
• Adhere to local cleanliness and hygiene regulations, ensuring food safety at all times.
• Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties as needed.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks to support the team, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in sushi and dim sum preparation.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lb (23 kg) and work on knees or bend as required.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Willingness to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Compliance with local food‑handling laws and fluency in the local language.
