Copywriter – Short‑Form B2B SaaS Specialist

About the role

Mercury Recruit is expanding into international markets and needs a copywriter who can craft ultra‑concise, high‑impact messaging for a brand with no existing reviews or reputation. You will create headlines, taglines, ad copy, email subject lines, landing‑page text, and social captions that speak with a single, consistent voice.

Key responsibilities

• Write and iterate short‑form copy – headlines, subheads, taglines, calls‑to‑action, ad copy, email subject lines, body copy, landing‑page copy, and social media captions – at volume.
• Adapt a single brand line to different audience personas (HR manager, founder, IT lead) while preserving a unified brand tone.
• Produce multiple headline and CTA options per brief, accompanied by brief rationales.
• Lead every piece with the reader’s pain point, avoiding feature‑first drafts.
• Trim every line to its most specific, filler‑free version.
• Revise existing copy on demand, tightening paragraphs, condensing feature lists, or strengthening flat CTAs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a copywriter (not a content writer) in B2B SaaS or a comparable direct‑response environment.
• Portfolio showcasing short‑form work: headlines, ads, landing pages, email subject lines, taglines.
• Demonstrated ability to compress copy dramatically (e.g., reducing a 20‑word line to 6 words without losing meaning).
• Skill in writing the same idea in different tones for varied audiences while maintaining a single voice.
• Instinct to avoid hype‑laden language; preference for precise, specific wording.
