Credit and Collection Officer

About the role

The Credit and Collection Officer will support the Finance Department by following up with guests, corporate clients, travel agencies and other parties to recover overdue payments, ensuring healthy cash flow and financial stability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor guest, corporate and third‑party accounts, identify overdue balances and conduct regular follow‑ups.
• Contact clients via calls, emails, written correspondence or visits to arrange settlements.
• Review invoices, investigate billing discrepancies, address payment disputes and provide clear explanations.
• Collect payments, ensure timely bank deposits, issue receipts and maintain accurate payment records.
• Maintain documentation of outstanding accounts, payment agreements, invoices and collection activities.
• Coordinate with Finance, Sales and other departments to resolve collection issues while maintaining professional client relationships.
• Submit daily collection reports and perform other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Strong financial, analytical and account reconciliation skills.
• Experience in credit control, debt collection or receivables management.
• Good communication, negotiation and customer service abilities.
• High attention to detail, integrity and professionalism.
• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field (preferred).
• Good written and spoken English; knowledge of Nepali and other languages is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting or hotel management systems.
