Deputy Chief Country Representative – Nepal & Bhutan

About the role

The Deputy Chief Country Representative will manage correspondent banking relationships and drive marketing initiatives for the assigned countries (Nepal and Bhutan). The role focuses on achieving financial and non‑financial targets, identifying new importers, and supporting the Chief Country Representative in business development and staff motivation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and budget annual marketing strategies, reviewing portfolios to maintain asset quality and maximize revenues.
• Identify and segment target markets, develop relationships, and pursue growth opportunities across trade finance and treasury.
• Monitor economic and political outlooks, manage cross‑border exposure, and recommend appropriate pricing and product offerings.
• Regularly visit key bank departments and exporters, prepare call reports, and ensure smooth issue resolution.
• Prepare memos, credit proposals, and periodic country updates for MIS and KYC purposes.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in commercial or correspondent banking.
• Strong knowledge of international banking services, trade finance, treasury, investments and capital markets.
• Excellent interpersonal and multicultural team‑management abilities.
• Proven marketing background with data analysis expertise.
