District Project Coordinator – Baitadi, Nepal

About the role

The District Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of UNFPA‑supported integrated sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender‑based violence (GBV) interventions across the assigned district and municipalities. Working directly in the field, the incumbent will ensure that services are planned, financed, delivered and monitored as an integrated, rights‑based system.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of SRHR and GBV programmes in the district and municipal areas.
• Maintain regular engagement with provincial, district and local authorities.
• Coordinate implementing partners, service‑delivery actors and joint programme teams.
• Monitor programme quality, results and timely reporting.
• Link municipal implementation with provincial and national systems, policies and institutions.
• Support integration of services across health, social development, justice, education and protection sectors, with focus on vulnerable groups.
• Provide technical input to UNFPA Provincial Head and collaborate with WHO and other partners.

Required profile

• Field‑based project coordination experience in SRHR, GBV or related development programmes.
• Proven ability to engage government authorities at multiple levels.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including NGOs, UN agencies and local service providers.
• Strong monitoring, reporting and results‑oriented mindset.
