E-commerce Officer

About the role

The E‑commerce Officer will manage Newmew’s online store on the WooCommerce platform, ensuring smooth store operations, accurate inventory, and continuous growth. The role combines strategic planning, SEO, AI‑search visibility, and team coordination to drive sales and improve the buyer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock levels in WooCommerce, process intake, and track items by size, colour and SKU.
• Monitor daily inventory, identify low‑stock items and schedule restocking.
• Update the website using Elementor – banners, landing pages, category pages and promotional content.
• Ensure site health: page speed, mobile responsiveness, broken links and checkout flow; escalate technical issues beyond Elementor.
• Oversee the full buyer journey, troubleshoot payment gateways (eSewa, Khalti, COD), manage returns and reviews, and keep store policies current.
• Analyse performance metrics (conversion rate, AOV, cart abandonment, repeat purchases) using Google Analytics and WooCommerce data.
• Implement growth initiatives such as product bundling, upsell strategies, pricing experiments and seasonal campaigns.
• Lead SEO activities – keyword optimisation, meta tags, schema, internal linking and Google Search Console monitoring.
• Expand visibility on AI search platforms and ensure content is optimally parsed by tools like ChatGPT and Google AI.
• Coordinate daily tasks with the Ecommerce Associate and produce monthly performance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of experience managing an e‑commerce store or online retail operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team and coordinate cross‑functional tasks.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience turning data into actionable growth plans.
