Environmentalist – Hydropower Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Environmentalist to support environmental management and compliance across our hydropower and transmission line projects throughout Nepal. The role involves ensuring that all activities meet environmental standards and that social and ecological impacts are properly managed.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor and prepare Environmental Management Plans (EMP) during project construction.
• Handle and coordinate social and environmental issues arising during project implementation.
• Conduct and support EIA/IEE studies for hydropower projects and transmission line works.
• Monitor environmental compliance and ensure adherence to applicable standards and requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams, stakeholders, and relevant authorities on environmental and social matters.
• Prepare environmental reports, documentation, and recommendations as required.
• Prepare environmental compliance charts and ESHS manuals based on EIA/IEE and monitor the implementation of OSHA guidelines.

Required profile

• Experienced Environmentalist with a background in hydropower or transmission line projects.
• Proven ability to manage social and environmental issues during project execution.
