Evidence and Communications Expert

About the role

The Evidence and Communications Expert will lead the synthesis, interpretation and dissemination of evidence generated by the Local Infrastructure Support Programme (LISP). Working from Kathmandu and travelling frequently to Lumbini and Karnali, you will translate complex programme data into clear, audience‑specific products that support policy engagement, reporting and organisational learning.

Key responsibilities

• Review, synthesize and organise existing programme evidence, including implementation learning, annual reviews, procurement reforms and infrastructure governance data.
• Capture emerging evidence from demand‑led technical assistance and document feedback from local governments.
• Produce accurate, credible and accessible evidence products aligned with programme priorities.
• Collaborate closely with the Policy Engagement and Institutional Uptake Lead, Monitoring and Reporting team, and technical specialists to ensure evidence informs policy and institutional uptake.
• Support the creation of practical communication materials for diverse stakeholder audiences.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in evidence synthesis, communications or monitoring and evaluation within international development.
• Proven ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable messages for policy makers and practitioners.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Experience working with local and provincial governments in Nepal or similar contexts.
