Field Coordinator – Nutrition Project (Open to Nepalese Nationals)

About the role

The Field Coordinator will lead the Transforming Lives through Nutrition project across Dang, Nawalparasi West, Kapilvastu and Rupandehi districts. Based in Butwal, the role combines strategic, technical and operational leadership to deliver nutrition‑sensitive, climate‑resilient food system solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical support for project planning, implementation, monitoring, learning and reporting.
• Develop detailed implementation plans, operational guidelines and adaptive management responses.
• Integrate gender equity, risk management, safeguarding and other organisational standards into all activities.
• Lead the field team, build capacity of implementing partners and represent iDE Nepal in relevant forums.
• Strengthen private‑sector and government partnerships to promote innovative, scalable market‑based solutions.
• Apply iDE’s Market Systems Development approach to achieve outcomes in nutrition, food security, climate‑smart agriculture and WASH.
• Generate evidence and learning to inform future programming and scaling.
• Travel frequently to project sites while maintaining a base office in Butwal.

Required profile

• Nepalese national.
• Proven experience leading nutrition‑sensitive, climate‑resilient food system projects.
• Strong background in market‑based development, private‑sector engagement and partnership building.
• Demonstrated capacity‑building and field‑coordination skills.
• Ability to travel regularly across project districts.
