Floor Supervisor

About the role

The Floor Supervisor oversees daily production activities on the factory floor, ensuring that schedules, material preparation, batch processing, and quality standards are met. This role coordinates with multiple departments to maintain efficient, safe, and organized operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily production plans, monitor progress, and resolve operational issues to meet targets.
• Ensure raw materials and batch preparation are ready, and supervise machine utilization and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain daily production records, report delays or issues, and coordinate quality sampling with the QC team.
• Enforce safety procedures, monitor PPE usage, and keep the floor clean and organized.
• Supervise floor workers, manage attendance, allocate tasks, and control waste and rework.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Maintenance, Stores and the Operations Manager to ensure resource availability.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Production, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production or factory operations, preferably in paint, chemical, FMCG or similar process‑based industries.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of production processes and batch manufacturing.
• Understanding of machine operation and floor management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with ERP or production management systems is a plus.
