Food and Beverage Intern

About the role

The Food & Beverage Intern will join the service team at Hotel Tibet in Kathmandu, supporting daily operations across the hotel’s restaurant and bar. Working on‑site in the Lazimpat location, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in guest service, food handling and back‑of‑house coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food service, including taking orders, serving dishes and beverages, and clearing tables.
• Set up dining areas and maintain cleanliness and presentation standards in restaurant and bar spaces.
• Respond to guest inquiries and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to streamline order flow.
• Learn basic food preparation, plating techniques and support inventory checks.
• Follow hygiene, safety and food‑security guidelines at all times.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently completed studies in hospitality, hotel management or a related field (preferred).
• Strong customer‑service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work flexible shifts.
• Professional grooming and adherence to food‑safety standards.
• Team‑player able to collaborate in a multicultural environment.
