Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

The Food & Beverage Manager leads all food and beverage operations at the Holiday Inn Express Kathmandu Naxal, ensuring high‑quality service, compliance with health and safety regulations, and memorable guest experiences. This senior position oversees multiple outlets, kitchen staff, and banquet facilities serving up to 500 guests.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and supervise daily staffing levels across restaurants, bars, and banquet areas.
• Coach and develop team members, set performance goals, and conduct regular training.
• Maintain equipment, facilities, and inventory in optimal condition; coordinate with engineering for repairs.
• Drive guest satisfaction by handling requests, complaints, and ensuring clean, well‑stocked service areas.
• Develop and execute food‑and‑beverage marketing programmes, monitor competitor activity, and approve menu concepts with the Executive Chef.
• Prepare annual budgets, monitor food, beverage, and labour costs, and identify revenue‑enhancing sales opportunities.
• Ensure secure handling of credit and financial transactions.

Required profile

• College or advanced training in food and beverage management; Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in hospitality or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Fluency in the local language; ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Valid alcohol awareness certification and/or food service/health‑handler permit as required by local law.
