Founding Principal

About the role

Christel House Nepal is launching a new school and seeks an exceptional educational leader to serve as the Founding Principal. You will join before the school opens, shape the academic programme from the ground up, and lead teaching, learning and culture from Day 1.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a high‑quality curriculum aligned with Christel House’s mission and Nepal’s National Curriculum Framework.
• Lead instructional practice by being present in classrooms weekly, coaching teachers and ensuring rigorous, student‑centered learning.
• Build systems for assessment, behaviour management and inclusive, culturally responsive environments.
• Map international curricula (e.g., IB, Cambridge) to local needs and integrate technology and AI tools where appropriate.
• Collaborate with the CEO on strategic planning, staffing and resource allocation.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of senior leadership experience in K‑12 education.
• Proven track record of establishing or transforming school programmes.
• Deep understanding of Nepal’s education context and national standards.
• Strong commitment to character development and equity for all learners.

Required skills

• Curriculum mapping and instructional design.
• Data‑driven decision making.
• Effective classroom observation and coaching.
• Knowledge of international curricula (IB, Cambridge) and emerging educational technologies.
