Head of Production – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Brilliant Lighting Industries seeks an experienced Head of Production to lead manufacturing at its Bhairahawa plant. This senior position owns production performance, productivity, quality, and cost efficiency, driving a disciplined, scalable environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day production activities, meeting daily and monthly output targets.
• Plan and optimise manpower, shift schedules, production lines and machine utilisation.
• Monitor output, downtime, OEE and identify bottlenecks for rapid resolution.
• Coordinate with PPIC, Procurement, Stores, Quality, Maintenance and Sales to ensure smooth material flow.
• Drive labour productivity, reduce waste, rework and overtime while pursuing automation opportunities.
• Maintain strict adherence to BOMs, SOPs and quality standards, improving First Pass Yield.
• Develop and coach supervisors, line leaders and operators, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Implement 5S, Lean, Kaizen, SOPs and standardised work; ensure accurate ERP reporting and KPI dashboards.

Required profile

• 8–15 years of manufacturing experience, including 3–5 years in a production leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Experience in LED lighting, electronics, electrical products or high‑volume consumer durables.
