Head of Sales – Automobile

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and results‑driven Head of Sales to lead the overall sales function for a reputable automobile company in Kathmandu. The role involves shaping sales strategy, managing dealer networks, and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the sales function to achieve revenue, volume, and market‑share targets.
• Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business goals.
• Drive vehicle sales performance across branches, dealers, and assigned markets.
• Develop, strengthen, and manage the dealer and distribution network.
• Set sales targets, KPIs, and performance standards for sales teams and dealers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demand.
• Identify new market opportunities and devise expansion strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate sales teams to consistently achieve targets.
• Coordinate with marketing, operations, service, finance, and other departments for smooth execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, corporate clients, and key partners.
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, reports, and performance analyses for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• 8–12+ years of proven experience in the automobile industry, preferably in a senior sales/management role.
• Strong understanding of automobile sales, dealer operations, distribution, and market dynamics.
• Track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to manage large sales teams and dealer networks.
• Strategic mindset with strong execution and problem‑solving capabilities.
