HR Officer (Department Incharge)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic, result‑oriented HR Officer to lead our Human Resources department at Kathmandu National Medical College & Teaching Hospital. The role involves overseeing daily HR operations, managing recruitment, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with local labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day‑to‑day HR department activities to align with institutional goals.
• Oversee end‑to‑end talent acquisition, including job postings, screening, interviews, hiring, and onboarding.
• Serve as primary contact for employee inquiries, handle grievances, mediate conflicts, and organise engagement activities.
• Coordinate performance appraisals, KPI tracking, and support development plans.
• Ensure policies, handbooks, and procedures comply with Nepalese labour laws.
• Monitor attendance, manage leave, coordinate rosters, and liaise with finance for payroll accuracy.
• Identify training needs, schedule workshops, and evaluate development programmes.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR metrics, and confidential files.

Required profile

• Dynamic and result‑oriented professional with at least 2 years of HR experience.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise an HR team.
• Strong knowledge of local labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
