Information Security Officer

About the role

The Information Security Officer will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s information security program. This officer‑level position is responsible for protecting the organization’s data and systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design, test and review security controls to safeguard company information.
• Educate users on security best practices, explain potential threats and promote a security‑aware culture.
• Install, configure and monitor security‑related software and network defenses.
• Identify security weaknesses, recommend improvements and document upgrades.
• Maintain documentation for certification and accreditation in line with NRB guidance.
• Establish and enforce security policies, including firewalls and external barriers.
• Implement the COBIT governance framework for information security management.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of relevant experience in information security or risk and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Mathematics or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with the capacity to work under strict timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior management.
• High personal integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
