Institutional Sales Officer – Project

About the role

The Institutional Sales Officer – Project will drive sales of paint and coating products to institutional and project‑based customers. You will identify new construction and renovation projects, build relationships with key stakeholders, and convert leads into profitable business.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new project and institutional sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Map ongoing, upcoming, and potential construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct regular site visits to understand requirements and generate leads.
• Prepare quotations, follow up on proposals, and close sales to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, consultants, developers, and institutional clients.
• Maintain an updated database of project pipelines and monitor progress from lead generation to order closure.
• Gather market and competitor intelligence and provide regular updates to management.
• Coordinate with internal teams (sales, technical, marketing, logistics) to ensure smooth order execution, delivery, and payment collection.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in paints, hardware, cement, pipes, sanitary ware, tiles or other building/construction materials.
• Prior experience in project sales, institutional sales, B2B sales or business development is preferred.
• Good understanding of the construction and building‑materials sector.
