IT, Hardware & Admin Officer

About the role

The IT, Hardware & Admin Officer will manage Trucare Pharmacy and Beauty Store’s technology landscape, hardware assets, networking infrastructure, surveillance systems and office facilities across the head office and retail locations. The role ensures uninterrupted operations by providing reliable IT support, safeguarding data, and coordinating administrative services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level technical support to all staff, troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, and set up new employee workstations.
• Maintain Windows operating systems, install software updates, security patches and support ERP, POS and pharmacy management applications.
• Administer LAN, WAN and Wi‑Fi networks, configure routers and switches, manage ISP relationships and document network topology.
• Perform scheduled data backups, verify backup integrity, manage antivirus/endpoint protection and monitor cybersecurity threats.
• Maintain computers, laptops, tablets, barcode scanners, POS terminals, receipt and label printers, biometric attendance devices, CCTV/DVR‑NVR equipment and access‑control systems.
• Keep an up‑to‑date IT asset register, tag equipment, track allocations, manage warranty records and coordinate asset disposal.
• Oversee office facilities, coordinate maintenance, supervise housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in IT support, hardware management and network administration.
• Familiarity with retail or pharmacy environments is advantageous.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
