Junior Duty Officer

About the role

The Junior Duty Officer will manage day‑to‑day operations of a cinema facility, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for guests. Reporting to the Facility Manager, the role combines hands‑on supervision of equipment, staff scheduling and customer‑service oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the condition and servicing of all cinema machinery and equipment, including projection, sound, 3D glasses and food‑display units.
• Maintain theater assets such as seating, water dispensers and hygiene supplies to guarantee a high‑quality guest experience.
• Plan and conduct internal meetings with housekeeping, security and other staff groups.
• Prepare duty rosters, especially for peak periods, and direct cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Assist in compiling daily and monthly sales reports and reconcile data from the ticketing system.
• Support training of both internal and outsourced personnel to uphold service standards.
• Oversee overall guest services, respond to incidents promptly and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in facility or operations management, preferably in a hospitality or entertainment setting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage staff schedules and multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and address guest concerns.
• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced environment and handle occasional emergencies.
