Maintenance Supervisor – Birtamod

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of mechanics and technicians to ensure reliable operation of plant machinery and electrical systems at our Birtamod facility. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, safety compliance, and minimizing production downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, including panel boards, relays, solenoid valves, and motors.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot single‑phase and three‑phase electrical wiring, panels, and power distribution networks.
• Provide continuous monitoring and preventive care for dairy machinery to achieve zero production downtime.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and integration of new equipment and automation systems.
• Supervise technicians in routine electrical maintenance tasks and gradually increase their independence.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of recurring issues and recommend long‑term solutions.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to meet operational goals and support equipment upgrades.
• Ensure workshop cleanliness, organize tools, and carry out regular safety inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and industrial maintenance practices.
• Technical certifications or specialized training in maintenance/automation is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and lead a team effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant maintenance software.
