National Director – World Vision Nepal

About the role

The National Director leads World Vision International’s strategic and operational work in Nepal, driving the 2026‑2030 Country Strategy to improve the well‑being of one million vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and leadership for program implementation, partnership management and rapid emergency response.
• Develop and maintain high‑level partnerships with the Government of Nepal, NGOs, CSOs, donors and the private sector.
• Ensure operational excellence, financial stewardship, risk management and compliance with WVI standards and local regulations.
• Lead fundraising efforts, diversify the funding portfolio and explore new funding modalities such as climate‑based financing.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in international development, public policy, child rights or organizational leadership.
• 10+ years of senior‑level programme management experience in a developing‑country context, with proven leadership of complex, multi‑partner initiatives.
• Deep understanding of Nepal’s political, social and economic environment and its impact on a Christian international NGO.
