Paralegal Subject Matter Expert – Remote Contractor

About the role

We are seeking a remote Paralegal Subject Matter Expert to evaluate and create AI‑generated legal support content. In this hourly contractor position you will review AI responses, provide detailed feedback, and develop high‑quality legal prompts and deliverables that improve model accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Create gold‑standard paralegal outputs such as document templates, checklists, research summaries, and drafting examples.
• Evaluate AI‑generated legal responses for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and proper citation.
• Identify and document errors in terminology, procedural steps, document structure, and authority handling.
• Fact‑check legal‑adjacent information and write clear explanations of correct methods.
• Rate and compare multiple AI outputs to guide model improvements.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies or related field; certification a plus.
• 4+ years experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in law firms, in‑house, or public sector.
• Strong knowledge of legal workflows, research, and summarizing authorities.
• Familiarity with litigation or transactional processes, depending on lane.
• Excellent attention to detail and minimum C1 English proficiency.
• Ability to handle confidential information securely and work independently across time zones.
