Production Unit Lead

About the role

The Production Unit Lead will head the day‑to‑day operations of an electric‑vehicle (EV) manufacturing unit in Dhading, Nepal. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures that production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all production activities within the EV assembly line.
• Develop and execute production plans, schedules, manpower allocation and resource requirements.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, safety regulations and industry guidelines.
• Identify bottlenecks, drive process optimisation and implement lean manufacturing practices.
• Monitor production costs, material utilisation and operational expenses, proposing cost‑reduction measures.
• Track daily output, efficiency, rejection rates, downtime and other performance indicators.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Warehouse teams to guarantee uninterrupted production.
• Prepare regular production reports and present performance updates to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 4 + years of experience in manufacturing, production or assembly operations, preferably in automotive or EV environments.
• Strong understanding of production planning, manufacturing processes and assembly operations.
• Proven ability to lead production teams and work cross‑functionally.
