Program Development and Quality Trainee

About the role

World Vision International Nepal is offering a one‑year traineeship for recent graduates to support its Program Development and Quality (PDQ) department. The trainee will work closely with the Grants Acquisition team, MEAL unit and other cross‑functional groups to assist in designing, preparing and monitoring high‑quality proposals and projects that improve the lives of vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the PDQ team in day‑to‑day operations, including data collection, analysis and documentation.
• Support program design and quality assurance for grants and projects, preparing concept notes and private non‑sponsorship proposals.
• Coordinate with the Grants Acquisition and NLab teams to develop donor‑focused proposals, partner analyses and donor mapping.
• Collaborate with the MEAL team to incorporate learning, innovations and evidence‑based practices into new proposals.
• Prepare communication materials, donor packs and capacity statements in partnership with technical, communications and operations staff.
• Provide administrative support for meetings, trainings, workshops and track progress on PDQ deliverables.
• Conduct field visits when required to gather information for proposal development.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a strong interest in international development and child welfare.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to travel within Nepal for field assessments.
