Project Assistant (Admin and Logistics)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Project Assistant to support the Emergency Non‑Food Items (NFI) project for flood‑affected communities in Nepal. The role combines administrative and logistical duties to ensure smooth implementation of shelter and NFI activities under the supervision of the National Project Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clerical support such as printing, scanning, record keeping, inventory management, and preparation of simple invoices and payment requests.
• Assist in updating budget information, track purchase requisitions in the WAVE system, and coordinate administrative actions with internal units and external partners.
• Draft correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, and statistical tables related to the project.
• Organise meetings, workshops and training sessions, and maintain an electronic filing system for project documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a school diploma with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in humanitarian assistance, climate‑change or development projects, preferably with UN agencies or NGOs.
• Fluency in English and Nepali (oral and written).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using the WAVE procurement and requisition system.
