Purchase Manager

About the role

The Purchase Manager is responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle, from identifying supplier needs to ensuring timely delivery of raw materials, packaging, machinery and other business supplies. The role supports production continuity and contributes to cost‑effective sourcing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and analyse purchasing requirements for the factory and coordinate with raw‑material, packaging, and machinery suppliers.
• Research potential vendors, evaluate price, delivery time, quality and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels, process purchase requisitions, create and amend purchase orders, and manage goods receipt in the SAP procurement system.
• Handle Letter of Credit documentation, coordinate with banks, and prepare export quotations and related documents.
• Coordinate logistics, liaise with forwarding agents, transporters and clearing agents to track orders in transit.
• Support SAP purchasing implementation, perform data mapping, validation and fit‑gap analysis against global SAP templates.
• Participate in budget meetings, negotiate contracts and develop long‑term supplier and customer relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP procurement modules and ability to execute transactional activities accurately.
• Excellent analytical skills for vendor evaluation, cost analysis and inventory planning.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, banks and logistics partners.
