Resource Person – Interactive Forum Theatre Trainer for Youth

About the role

The Social Development Forum (SDF) Banke seeks an experienced Resource Person to deliver interactive forum theatre training for children and adolescents in the Banke district of Nepal. This short‑term consultancy will support community‑based programmes that address gender‑based violence, early marriage, menstrual stigma and other harmful norms through participatory theatre.

Key responsibilities

• Design and facilitate interactive forum theatre sessions tailored to the lived realities of children and adolescents.
• Engage participants in critical reflection and dialogue to challenge discriminatory practices.
• Collaborate with local NGOs, government bodies and community leaders to ensure cultural relevance and safety.
• Document session outcomes, lessons learned and provide recommendations for scaling up the approach.
• Prepare and submit technical and financial proposals in line with the Terms of Reference.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilitating interactive or forum theatre with youth groups.
• Strong understanding of child protection, gender issues and social inclusion in Nepal.
• Ability to work in remote community settings and adapt methods to diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
