Restaurant Accountant – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and responsible Restaurant Accountant to oversee the day‑to‑day financial operations of our restaurant in Kathmandu. The role involves maintaining accurate records, monitoring sales and expenses, handling cash and bank transactions, and supporting management with timely financial reporting. You will work closely with suppliers, staff and management to ensure smooth financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate daily accounting records and financial documentation.
• Record and verify daily restaurant sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
• Monitor daily cash, credit, digital payments, and bank transactions.
• Reconcile daily sales reports with POS, cash, and bank records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and verify invoices, bills, vouchers, and payment documents.
• Maintain supplier accounts and monitor outstanding payments.
• Track food, beverage, packaging, and other operational expenses.
• Assist in monitoring food and beverage inventory and reconcile stock with purchase and sales records.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management.
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations regularly.
• Assist with payroll and staff‑related financial records when required.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, TDS, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Support budgeting, expense control, and cash‑flow monitoring.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and responsible individual.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality or restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, TDS, and income‑tax compliance.
• Ability to prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
