Restaurant Host/Hostess – Full-time

About the role

The Host/Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests at Roadhouse’s Kathmandu restaurant. Working full‑time on‑site, you will create a welcoming atmosphere, manage the flow of diners, and support the front‑of‑house team from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, answer phone inquiries and handle reservations.
• Maintain and manage the waiting list, escorting guests to their tables efficiently.
• Coordinate with servers to ensure smooth table turnover and optimal seating.
• Provide information about menu items, restaurant services and respond to guest concerns.
• Keep the reception area tidy, uphold cleanliness, safety and Roadhouse hospitality standards.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills with a friendly, inclusive attitude.
• Ability to stay calm, organized and attentive during busy periods.
• Clear, professional communication in English and Nepali; additional languages a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience in hospitality or front‑of‑house roles is an advantage.

Required skills

• Basic use of reservation systems or logs.
• Professional phone etiquette for handling bookings and guest requests.
