Hotel Receptionist

About the role

Our client, a leading hospitality and hotel management company in Nepal, is looking for a detail‑oriented Hotel Receptionist to join their front‑desk team at their property in Lazimpat, Kathmandu. The role involves delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding the highest service standards for both domestic and international travelers.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm, professional demeanor.
• Manage check‑in and check‑out processes efficiently, ensuring accurate billing and documentation.
• Handle guest inquiries and requests via phone, email, and in‑person, coordinating with housekeeping, concierge, and other departments.
• Maintain and update the property management/reservation system, processing new bookings, modifications, and cancellations.
• Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly, escalating to management when necessary.
• Assist with concierge services, including local recommendations and arranging transportation or tours.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience as a hotel receptionist, front‑desk agent, or similar hospitality role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask under pressure with strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Word.
• Proficiency in MS Office Excel.
• Knowledge of hotel reservation/booking systems.
• Experience with property management software.
