Senior Account Officer

About the role

The Nepal Coffee Estate is looking for a meticulous Senior Account Officer to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role involves managing loan accounting, tax compliance, and bank reconciliations while supporting the preparation of periodic financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily accounts, entering transactions into the accounting system.
• Record and manage all loan types (term, working capital, OD/CC, inter‑company) including disbursements, repayments and accruals.
• Reconcile loan balances with bank statements and lender confirmations.
• Produce weekly aging reports for receivables and payables and handle petty cash and banking transactions.
• Reconcile tax ledgers, debtor and creditor accounts, and perform cash/online payment and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in compiling daily, monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain accounting vouchers with proper supporting documents in line with accounting standards and taxation laws.
• Maintain books of accounts according to the VAT Act and Rules, including purchase and sales books.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the concerned authority.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, VAT, and banking transactions.
• Experience with loan accounting and financial reconciliation.
• Ability to prepare accurate journal entries and financial statements.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to compliance and documentation standards.
