Senior QA Automation Lead – Part‑Time Technical Competency Assessment Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation professional to act as an independent technical competency assessment consultant on a short‑term, part‑time basis. The consultant will evaluate the knowledge and practical abilities of approximately 12 employees across QA, Backend, Frontend, and UI/UX roles.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver role‑specific technical competency assessments, including theoretical questions and practical assignments.
• Conduct one‑on‑one technical interviews to gauge problem‑solving skills and depth of expertise.
• Assess QA staff in Manual Testing, Test Planning, Test Case Design, Automation Testing, API Testing, Performance Testing, Security Testing, Test Automation Frameworks, Defect Management, Root‑Cause Analysis, CI/CD, and testing practices.
• Score each employee out of 100, assign a competency level (Beginner to Expert), and identify strengths and skill gaps.
• Recommend targeted training and provide a professional individual assessment report.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure an unbiased, objective evaluation process.

Required profile

• 7–12+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance and QA Automation.
• Proven expertise in both Manual and Automation Testing.
• Hands‑on knowledge of API, Performance, and Security Testing.
• Experience designing automation frameworks and implementing CI/CD testing practices.
• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Background leading QA teams or serving as a Senior QA Engineer/Lead.
