Service Advisor

About the role

The Service Advisor is the primary liaison between vehicle owners and the after‑sales service department. You will greet customers, capture their service needs, and ensure a smooth, transparent repair process that maximizes satisfaction and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, listen to their vehicle concerns and record accurate service requests.
• Inspect vehicles with customers, create job cards, repair orders and cost estimates.
• Explain recommended repairs, maintenance plans and associated costs.
• Coordinate with workshop technicians to schedule and monitor work, ensuring timely completion.
• Provide regular status updates to customers and conduct vehicle delivery, detailing work performed.
• Handle inquiries, complaints and warranty claims in line with company policies.
• Promote value‑added services, genuine spare parts and maintenance packages.
• Maintain customer records and service history in the dealership management system.
• Follow up after service to confirm satisfaction and collect feedback.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 1–3 years experience in automotive service, customer service or dealership operations (preferred).
• Basic understanding of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency with computer applications and dealership/service management software.
