Shift Incharge – Plant Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Shift In‑Charge leads all operations within a soy solvent extraction plant during the assigned shift, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities to keep the plant running uninterrupted.
• Achieve daily production targets in line with operational plans and quality specifications.
• Monitor process parameters, detect deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead, guide and motivate shift personnel, fostering a positive work environment.
• Enforce Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and promote a safety‑first culture.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to verify that finished products meet all required specifications.
• Maintain accurate shift records, including production logs, downtime, and incident reports.
• Ensure effective handover between shifts by communicating operational updates and issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a soy solvent extraction plant or similar industrial setting.
• Strong leadership, team‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time‑sensitive operations.
• High attention to detail and commitment to compliance.

Required skills

• Solvent extraction process expertise.
• Knowledge of ISO standards.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementation.
• PQRS (Process Quality Review System) familiarity.
• Quality Control protocols.
