Supply Chain Officer – FMCG

About the role

The Supply Chain Officer will support the FMCG manufacturing operations in Kathmandu by overseeing procurement, inventory control, and logistics coordination. You will work closely with vendors, warehouse staff, transport partners and the sales team to ensure smooth flow of raw materials and finished goods.

Key responsibilities

• Track purchase indents, purchase orders and monitor procurement status.
• Negotiate purchase rates with vendors and coordinate price updates.
• Liaise with the warehouse team to manage pending dispatches.
• Arrange transport availability and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Maintain VCTS documentation for sales dispatches and perform monthly verification.
• Follow up on freight bill submission from transporters.
• Monitor raw material and packaging material stock levels to meet production targets.
• Identify potential shortages, near‑expiry items and advise relevant teams.
• Manage finished‑goods sales and dispatches on a FIFO basis.
• Track slow‑moving finished goods and support sales planning.
• Coordinate with sales for low‑shelf‑life products and facilitate timely liquidation.
• Work with the factory team to handle scrap material identification, segregation and disposal.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement of goods from multiple sources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Word.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
