Technical Manager – Network & Infrastructure Operations

About the role
The Technical Manager will lead end‑to‑end management of ISP network operations, ensuring high availability, optimal uptime and top‑class service quality. You will oversee core FTTH, fiber deployment, OLT, GPON and ONU/ONT infrastructure while driving continuous improvement across the Network Operations Center (NOC) and field teams.
Key responsibilities
- Direct NOC and field technical teams, fostering productivity and operational excellence.
- Monitor network health, isolate faults and restore outages within defined SLAs.
- Design and execute capacity‑planning and network‑expansion projects to meet growing user demand.
- Manage full‑cycle technical projects, coordinating vendors, equipment suppliers and contractors.
- Implement network security protocols, vulnerability management and preventive maintenance routines.
- Analyze market requirements to design high‑performance service solutions and support new product launches.
- Maintain accurate network topology diagrams, configuration archives and KPI tracking.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in ISP or large‑scale networking environments.
- Proven project‑management capabilities and strong team‑leadership skills.
Required skills
- IP packet flow, OSI layers, Ethernet, PPP, PPPoE, DHCP, IPoE.
- IPv4/IPv6 routing, ICMP, TCP, GRE, QoS, VRRP.
- Dynamic routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS‑IS.
- MPLS, VPLS, Layer 2/Layer 3 VPNs.
- FTTH, ODN architecture, OLT and ONT configuration.
- Multicast routing and CDN integrations (Google Global Cache, Meta, Akamai, Cloudflare).
- AAA protocols: RADIUS, Diameter.
- Linux and FreeBSD systems; scripting in Python, Tcl or Perl.
- Multi‑vendor equipment experience: Juniper, Cisco, Huawei, Nokia, MikroTik, BDCOM.
