Teller / Accountant – Cash & Accounting Operations

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Teller/Accountant to manage daily cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records for our cooperative members. The role combines front‑office teller duties with core accounting responsibilities, ensuring smooth cash flow and reliable bookkeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily cash deposits, withdrawals, savings, loan payments and other teller transactions.
• Verify cash, vouchers, receipts and supporting documents before processing.
• Maintain accurate records of daily cash and accounting transactions.
• Perform daily cash and bank reconciliation and report discrepancies.
• Keep vouchers, ledgers, journals, receipts and other accounting records up to date.
• Record financial transactions in accounting software.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, reports and audit documents.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with policies.
• Provide professional service to cooperative members.
• Carry out additional accounting, teller and administrative tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
• Ability to work accurately in a financial service environment.
• Good communication skills for member interaction.
• Minimum 12 months of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using accounting software.
• Basic computer literacy (e.g., MS Office).
