Training Facilitator – Nutrition (Consultancy)

About the role

UNICEF Nepal is seeking an experienced Training Facilitator to lead a national Master Training of Trainers (M‑ToT) on nutrition‑focused Social and Behaviour Change (SBC). The three‑day workshop in Kathmandu will build a pool of skilled SBC and nutrition professionals who can cascade capacity‑building efforts to provincial and local levels.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a competency‑based SBC training package covering behavioural driver analysis, context‑specific nutrition SBC intervention design, participatory learning techniques and monitoring of behaviour‑change outcomes.
• Facilitate interactive sessions for government officials and partners, ensuring practical application of behavioural science and social‑norms analysis.
• Support the institutionalisation of SBC within multi‑sector nutrition systems across federal, provincial and local structures.
• Provide guidance for subsequent provincial Training of Trainers events in Madhesh, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Rural Development, Communications, Public Health or a related social science.
• Minimum 10 years of experience designing and facilitating SBC capacity‑building programmes, preferably in nutrition or public health contexts.
• Proven experience working with government systems and equity‑focused approaches.
