Vice Principal – Academic Affairs

About the role

The Vice Principal – Academic Affairs will lead and strengthen the academic programme across early childhood, primary and secondary levels at Kopila Valley School. Reporting to the Head of Programs and working closely with the Principal, heads of departments and teachers, the role ensures that academic priorities are planned, implemented and continuously improved.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the academic vision, curriculum implementation and instructional quality across all school levels.
• Monitor student learning outcomes using data‑driven approaches and coordinate targeted interventions.
• Observe classrooms, provide regular feedback, coaching and professional development for teachers and heads of departments.
• Develop and oversee assessment systems, academic planning and reporting.
• Foster a safe, inclusive and student‑centred learning environment that promotes critical thinking and student voice.
• Collaborate with parents, staff and external partners such as the BlinkNow Foundation to enhance school culture and performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in academic leadership or senior teaching management, preferably in K‑12 settings.
• Strong ability to analyse student data and translate insights into actionable improvement plans.
• Excellent coaching, mentoring and communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusive education, safeguarding and holistic student development.
