Visa Head and Officer – Kathmandu

About the role

AECC is looking for a Visa Head and Officer to lead its visa department in Kathmandu. The role ensures compliance with immigration policies, manages the end‑to‑end student visa journey, and supports both clients and internal teams in delivering smooth visa services.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure AECC Visa Department compliance to retain student fee payments in line with destination and client policies.
• Act as mentor‑user and key contact for clients and management reporting systems for allocated students.
• Oversee processing activities, weekly, monthly and annual audits to retain fee‑payment status.
• Inform students, staff and clients of relevant immigration/visa legislation changes.
• Maintain procedural documents for visa checks, withdrawals, study‑plan changes, refusals and refunds.
• Verify immigration status of all national students and advise on study or work restrictions.
• Provide guidance to students, parents and the team on visa applications, reviewing final applications before submission.
• Ensure all financial and visa documents are correct before submission to admissions or authorities.
• Advise management and marketing on trends to reduce student and parent stress.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of visa documentation and counselling experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business.
• Excellent organisational skills for timely reporting and feedback.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated team‑player attitude.
• Competent knowledge of relevant computer skills.
