Account Officer

About the role

The Account Officer will support the Finance & Accounts department by maintaining accurate accounting records, processing transactions, and providing financial information for management decisions. This full‑time position is based in Balkumari, Nepal, and reports to the Senior Accounts Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger, cash, bank, receivable, payable, and expense accounts.
• Prepare and post journal, adjustment, and accrual entries with proper documentation.
• Manage accounts receivable, issue VAT invoices, reconcile sales, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations, verify deposits and withdrawals, and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate with inventory and procurement teams to account for purchases, inventory movements, and write‑offs.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing, including account reconciliations, accruals, depreciation, and preparation of financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and support audit processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands‑on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and VAT compliance.
• Proficiency in bank and cash reconciliation.
• Familiarity with e‑commerce sales accounting and inventory reconciliation.
• Ability to prepare month‑end and year‑end closing schedules.
