Account Officer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Account Officer to join our investment company in Kathmandu. The role focuses on managing daily financial transactions, ensuring tax compliance, handling payroll, and preparing accurate financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and maintain records of all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, income, and expenses.
• Prepare accounting vouchers and transaction summaries, and keep systematic digital and physical records for audits.
• Maintain day books and general ledgers, and perform weekly/monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, purchase and sales ledgers.
• Track inventory balances daily, recording opening, purchase, sales, and closing balances.
• Calculate, file, and pay corporate taxes such as capital gains tax and TDS on time.
• Manage payroll processing, statutory deductions, and related compliance reporting.
• Develop and generate MIS reports to support strategic planning.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced Account Officer.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (24 months).
