Accountant - Bookkeeper

About the role

Hydroplan is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Accountant‑Bookkeeper to support its expanding international operations across Nepal, India, and the UK. The role involves managing financial reporting, taxation, payroll and compliance for multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting, taxation and compliance activities for Nepal, India and UK offices.
• Assist an external auditor in India by compiling required information.
• Handle payroll, TDS, income‑tax calculations and regulatory filings for the Indian office.
• Perform similar payroll and tax duties for the Nepal office.
• Oversee processing of payments, vendor invoices, reimbursements, payroll and other accounts payable/receivable tasks.
• Execute bookkeeping tasks: record transactions, reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage invoices, vendor payments and reconcile bank statements using QuickBooks and Excel.
• Track project costing and expenses.
• Perform other ad‑hoc administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualifications.
• Minimum 24 months of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or related finance roles.
• Strong understanding of financial, taxation, payroll and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
