Accounts Officer

About the role

The company is seeking an Accounts Officer to manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records and ensure statutory compliance. The role will coordinate with internal teams, banks, vendors, auditors and government authorities to support timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts and record financial transactions accurately in the ERP/accounting system.
• Prepare journal entries, vouchers, debit/credit notes and maintain general and subsidiary ledgers.
• Verify supplier invoices, process payments, reconcile vendor accounts and maintain AP aging.
• Monitor customer receivables, record collections, reconcile customer accounts and prepare AR aging reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations, manage petty cash and cash advances, and monitor daily cash positions.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, calculate and deposit TDS, and ensure timely tax and statutory compliance.
• Prepare monthly payroll in coordination with HR, including SSF, taxes and deductions.
• Prepare monthly financial, cash‑flow and bank reconciliation reports and support month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Support internal and external audits and provide required financial documents and information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing or trading.
• Good knowledge of Nepal tax laws, VAT, TDS, SSF and statutory compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail, confidentiality, integrity and accuracy.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP/accounting software.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
