Area Service Engineer

About the role

The Area Service Engineer oversees all authorized service centres within a designated region, ensuring consistent service quality, technical support, and customer satisfaction. This role combines field visits, technical guidance, and performance monitoring to maintain high operational standards across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations of all authorized service centres in the region.
• Conduct regular on‑site visits to verify compliance with company policies, service processes and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to service technicians and workshop teams.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and escalate critical issues when necessary.
• Coordinate with service centre managers to improve workshop productivity, service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor spare‑parts availability and work with relevant departments to minimise downtime.
• Conduct service audits, prepare inspection reports and recommend improvements.
• Organise technical training and skill‑development programmes for service centre staff.
• Oversee warranty claim processes and ensure adherence to company warranty policies.
• Analyse service performance data, identify improvement opportunities and report to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in automobile service operations or workshop management.
• Experience working with authorized service networks (preferred).
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs and maintenance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service‑management systems.
• Valid two‑wheeler driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
