Assistant Manager Finance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to lead our financial operations, manage treasury channels, and support the next phase of growth in the travel tech sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily profitability reports and monthly financial position statements by the 10th of each Nepali month.
• Track and execute timely wallet top‑ups across key channels (BusSewa, HBL Card, Sparrow SMS, TT Khalti, TT eSewa, Air Arabia) to avoid service interruptions and penalties.
• Calculate, track, and reconcile earned commissions against bank deposits to ensure zero‑leakage revenue collection.
• Schedule vendor disbursements, perform month‑end reconciliations for partners, digital payment gateways, and vendors, and resolve balance variances.
• Ensure compliance with local tax guidelines (VAT/TDS), coordinate internal/external audits, and enforce risk management controls.
• Identify and resolve financial bottlenecks, assist in rolling budgets/forecasts, and mentor junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance/Accounting (BBA, BBS, MBA, MBS) or semi‑qualified status (CA/ACCA/CIMA).
• 4‑6 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance operations, or treasury management, preferably in digital commerce, travel tech, or fintech.
• Strong understanding of the Nepali calendar (B.S.) accounting cycle and local tax laws.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel (financial modeling & automated templates).
• Hands‑on experience with GDS platforms (SABRE).
• Familiarity with digital wallet portals (eSewa, Khalti, BusSewa).
• Experience using corporate online banking systems.
