Assistant Video Editor

About the role

Edusoft Academy is seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Assistant Video Editor to support its content creation team. You will work closely with faculty and marketing colleagues to transform long‑form course recordings into engaging educational videos and short‑form social media reels.

Key responsibilities

• Edit, process, and archive long‑format lectures, live class recordings, and online modules.
• Repurpose main lecture footage into vertical short‑form content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Perform audio cleanup, noise reduction, leveling, and basic color correction.
• Add captions, lower‑thirds, slide overlays, motion graphics, and sound effects to keep viewers engaged.
• Maintain organized project files, raw asset archives, and backup storage (local and cloud).

Required profile

• Proficiency with at least one video‑editing software such as CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Good understanding of visual pacing, jump cuts, hook placement, and audio balancing for online education.
• Ability to meet daily deadlines while delivering clean edits.
• Strong attention to detail and systematic file management.
• Portfolio or reel demonstrating experience with both long‑form and short‑form video editing.
